Oneword Exercise for 4/16/2012

Today’s Oneword was Earring, and sort of inspired by the TV show Bones:

All they had was my earring.  Yet, somehow that was enough to track me down.  Somehow their “wizards” and obsessives at their lab performed some kind of magic and traced me.  From an earring that I dropped on the ground.  One fucking earring.

Today’s Oneword was Desk:

She sat there, hunched over her desk.  They were the same notes she had been pouring through all day.  Maybe they would say something new this time.  Hopefully.  Her eyes were heavy as she scanned through the same paragraph for the hundredth time.

Oneword Exercise for 4/14/2012

Today’s Oneword was Entice:

“Could I entice you to try this?” he asked.
“No, it really doesn’t look like something I’d like,” she replied.
“Not even just one bite?”
“I’d rather not.”
“What if I tried it first?”
“Do you really want to stick that in your mouth?”

Oneword Exercise for 4/3/2012

Today’s Oneword was Flip:

“Come on, it’s an easy flip!” he said.  He was laughing.  Maybe he was trying to be encouraging, but it just sounded mocking.  An easy flip.  When you’re twenty feet in the air with no net below you, there’s no such thing as an “easy flip”.

Oneword Exercise for 4/2/2012

Well I didn’t do very well keeping up with Oneword in March, but I’m going to try to get back on track with it this month.  Today’s Oneword was Attendant:

The attendant walked up to their table and handed them the wrapped bag.  A quick nod of his cap and the attendant scurried off.  They both looked at the bag with odd, inquisitive looks.  It was small, and such an odd shape.

I admit that this was definitely not an easy word to come up with something for. Sometimes I see a word and my mind just starts firing off immediately.  It took a little bit to really start getting a groove tonight though.
